Dismissal

We stand outside, in heat or cold And one by one, each class Is marched outside to reunite With we who wait, en masse. The teachers watch to match each child With parent, sitter or A nana or a grandpa Huddled near the exit door. The children run to give a hug To those who stand and wait, The teachers glad their obligations They can abdicate.

Ah, yes, I see it. At our schools we have six to seven busses. That is how most of ours get home. The thirty parents who drive up wait in their cars though as we walk them to the right car one at a time.

Never had that problem when I was a child, perhaps because every mother had so many children that each one was surrounded by siblings? Well said, Ilene! Aloha! Rico

It's the safest way Ilene, reassuring to know they won't let them go until they match them up. They do it here too. Hope your new year going well. Tom

So glad care is taken at the sh cool to ensure each child is collected by a responsible adult that the child is happy to go home with, as I know it can get rather difficult when parents separate. I am sure your grand children rush to be with their amazing Grandma, i know you have so much fun together:-) hugs Jan xx
