Disgrace of Knowledge

by Michaelw1two

Inspired by Aadhar Mittal and dedicated to Senator Orin Hatch;

 Long-lived life, once truly dedicated to living thoughts;
 of service freely given, the sage elder once was sought;
 minds focused, on the aged, silver haired sons of freemen;
 on whose shoulders, future's generations once did stand.

 This day shamed, though men do stand and speak together;
 against all people, they, in one cities regions nether;
 speaking, of favorable dispensation to corporate wethers;
 they all do stand, as one agonist our nation's druthers.

 They live in shadows, striking fears within men's minds;
 positions won by lies, deceit, and dishonor of humanity;
 swapping votes, to plot futures based on fascism refined;
 what these beasts see as beauty, all spirit beings defy.

 Distain grows, along with an increasing public knowledge;
 of words, actions, and crime committed, all do recognize;
 age being life, for most men, just floundering pledgings;
 the beasts bend brow, sworn of pact, all life to sledge.

 Our nation's spirit, takes this intrusion oh so quietly;
 as fearful in mind, her populations pondering spitefully;
 the ugly natures, this wicked group embraces exclusively;
 new change, must end their fascist mindset conclusively.
