Disengage

I can feel the tearing,
coming apart again,
stitches dropped
carelessly.

Weakened by wear,
too thin, now,
to hold
together.

Entropy at work,
forces of nature
slowly eroding
integrity.

Too thin to hold
together, we grow
apart again
carefully.
