Late arrival to comment, - your poem as vibrant as ever! - in agreement, suave mauve is gorgeous! Pictures you formed with colour transitions are super vivid. The seeping sadness throughout, cycle of renewal is superbly succinctly expressed. Appreciate your clever writing, Kai.

Thank you so much Andrea. Sorry for the late reply. Life has been very challenging for me recently, but things are very much on the up. Faith and action seems to work, just need to get the balance right. Sending you loving wishes, Kai

"darkness scorches the soul to the core/ hellfire’s charcoal embers/ dissipate lightness of being," Sometimes dark clouds creep into our sky threatening to take away all light and we sink into a state of gloom. It is possible for all. But a conscious effort to come out of it can ameliorate the situation. Let not the pot of tar spill out, instead let the prism of colors make a rainbow in your sky. Beautiful metaphoric poem.

This is a really creative and beautiful take on chakras and how emotions can change the hues we feel...and all of your descriptions just make sense ie "suave mauve corrodes into rust and necessity’s must clusters indecision and meaningless desire". Especially loved "the prism yields prison". I hope you're doing well, -B

Saw your comment below. I suppose recovery is a life long endeavor. Grey days are bound to occur. You describe a bad mood well. Take care Michael

Lovely poem, well written. Bit like how i'm feeling to day but as your last verse say's, all colour's merge into white, so we always have hope. Thank you for sharing your poem.

Hi Jackie. Thank you for your comment. It helps me a great deal to express such feelings as my way of getting over them. Poetry is a great healer for me. I am told that I am not always good at sharing my emotions, but am getting better with it. Writing is medicine for me and I have the need to engage in it every day. Sending you loving wishes and hope that you are feeling better.
