cool clear chilly night 
the moon glows so big and bright... 
the owls out tonight 

circling in the sky 
bats swerving so way up high... 
the hooter's- now fly 

golden eyes in trees 
flapping wings soar in the breeze... 
dinner for two, please

Charlie what a great collection I love how you tied each one together. The imagery was great I could see clearly your words of these feathered friends. Like how the title throws you off until the end. Clever and wonderful to read. Reminded me when we went to Pinebush one Year is was kind of Erie and the owls you could hear, it added a different dimension to everything. God bless you Charlie really liked these Haikus. A favorite my friend...
