My "mudda" made oatmeal overnight on a black cast iron stove in a double boiler pot. You could stand a shovel up in the oatmeal. .... but it was the best oatmeal we ever ate....a little brown sugar and cinnamon ...amen.

I love oatmeal and eat it many ways, but haven't tried it with jelly. I have a baked oatmeal recipe with peanut butter and chocolate chips that is amazing, though!
