Did You Ever Wonder?

Life is a clock
a never stopping clock
mighty as Titan
meek as Humility
Strike one into
a dumb seclusion

Staring, wondering, looking
Falling listlessly
minds wander, Minds ponder

The lips of bittersweet maroon
Caressing the baby

The yap of an animal
as it passes by

When the moon falls within intervals
when the sun rises in hiatus

When they both reach their zenith

Is it true
                      that
                                               life
                                                                               passes?

Shiki, you express well the inability to stop the clock as "life passes." Very touching! Carolyn
