Did I Leave Anything Out, Liz Taylor

Liz Taylor
 never married
  a sailor, retailer
   or a wholesaler
    or divorced a bailor
     or buried a tailor
      or used an inhaler
       or lived in a trailer
        or dated Norman Mailer
         or kissed a whale or
          even was jailed her
           whole life as a derailer

gershon, packed with engaging details on liz... just a few add-ons: violet eyes, close connection with michael jackson, a cleopatra... what an enjoyable read! ...huggs

This is frivolous wit playfully engaging the reader - I love it. I could argue, for fun, that she did bury a 'taylor', lived (and loved) inside set trailers - oh, ignore me - I enjoy playful debates that don't necessarily translate well in the internet realm. Read Dickinson as suggested by you ""Faith" is a fine invention When Gentlemen can see -- But Microscopes are prudent In an Emergency." Thank you for leading me there, and giving me a Taylored-grin today. CayCay

You just about covered it all, Gershon. Pretty witty.

She was kind of frumpy at the end, wasn't she? … Although at 82 (I think), not too many look good anymore... Thanks for weighing in on this one, S.B! Best wishes, Gershon

She's one interesting character for sure. I lost track how many men she had in her life. Tom.

Didn't she tie Zsa-Zsa Gabor, i.e., marrying and divorcing 10 times? I guess the goal was a 'rock' on each finger and thumb. 'Rocky 10,' so to speak. ! ~ Gershon

Liz had some incredible life didn't she? Her beauty was epic. A fun poem Gershon! : )

From National Velvet to Cleopatra to...Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, where she played the shrew so shrewdly...She was something, wasn't she?! Thanks for your feedback on this one, Connie! Warm winter wishes, Gershon

The poem is sassy, the typing is fun. Are you sure about her never dating Norman Mailer? I do believe she may have kissed a whale. Looking it up now. Thank you for a lovely missive my friend!

Although I have never checked online, I don't know of any link between Mailer and Liz. (He was hot on Marilyn Monroe, however). As for the whale -- ha, ha, ha, ha. I think you 'went fishing' for that one... :) gw
