My old man's diary
Shows fragments of thoughts;
Such simple entries
The plain obvious sort.
Thoughts from old times past
Records of outlay;
Ancient scripts laid last
In those fleeting days.
A simple journey
Where fares were but few,
Basic tact surely
In pages not new.
