Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Dew Kiss

sweet kiss on my lips
the morning sun
tickles my neck
caresses my cheek

birds happily sing
though I miss you

i long for the days
when we had each other
i long for a past
that was so tender

your love was my strength
now I carry on
with what is left of me

the loss of you
meshed with my every fiber

an ache that cries out in silence
for its mate crossed over
a distance insurmountable
yet at times within my grasp

The soulful beauty and longing of your pen touches me deeply, Line. The depth and breadth of grief is keenly felt, especially in your last impactful line. Warmest wishes, my friend.. ~Susan

Lovely, Line! My Dad, in his grief, wonders how Mom would have handled being the one left behind. After 3 months he is doing a bit better. He knows how much he is loved by his children and he shows his love too. Sweet moments amidst our grief.
