Devil Comet Diamond Ring-Welcome April

April showers may dampen Dallas Texas torrents glooming deluge on path way
Priceless zooming presence; shrouds blend violets and daisies blooming in May
Rain forecast an encumbered view; stubborn clouds cause distressing delay
Isn’t raining rain you know, it’s raining diamonds vrooming diamond souffle
Look expectantly skyward, your Ray Bans don, for the Solar Eclipse it's today!

Anaya, my adult children and my wife and I traveled to Canada to see the total eclipse. I've seen two others and it's interesting to compare the view in each. The 1970 in the Carolinas and 2017 in Tennessee. The prominences were spectacular this time and there is a strange interference phenomenon known as shadow bands which occur just before and after totality. 1970 seemed the most spectacular for those. Hard to believe April has passed us by.

Dear Anaya, I love how you have written this so beautifully, majestic and visually stunning. ‘Shrouds blend violets and daisies’ ‘ it’s raining diamonds. Such a wonderful sight to behold. You have captured it so poetically enticingly. Wished I had the chance to see it. Always fascinates me. Love all your pictures too to mark the special occurrence. Thank you for sharing it for those especially that didn’t see it :( Hugs to you for a wonderful day xx

Thank you, Christina! It was my April calendar as well, hence the daisies and violets (flower of the month) birthstone (diamond of the month). ~xo

"it’s raining diamonds vrooming diamond souffle".... Lovely description, dear Anaya. In your part of the country, I am sure it must have been a spectacular sight. Your acrostic has highlighted one of the great astral phenomenon of the month of April. We watched it on the TV. Have a great week ahead, dear Anaya.

Dear Anaya, such a creative acrostic about an eclipse. This acrostic is truly impressive. The lines "Look expectantly skyward, your Ray Bans don, for the Solar Eclipse it's today!" are particularly captivating.

Beautiful presentation and poem Anaya, it’s great to see so many poets marking the day, I’ve been glued to the Tv and watched a live feed from Dealey plaza in Dallas were JFK was assassinated, the sky did clear, and it looked so emotionally uplifting, love the isn’t raining line, mostly because it’s hammering down here lol! cheers David

Ha it’s really difficult to get one’s mind around space/time curvature, the math is totally bonkers, I find it’s best to imagine it in the abstract, and it makes a lot more sense, try dark energy next, Einstein may have predicted it with his steady state theory, but then abandoned it, but turns out he was definitely on to something,!

It was a clear day in Texas, they were lucky. I'm keeping the rain effects otherwise no poem, I must of been channeling your neck of the woods! JFK-perfect place to be, spiritual deep! Hey clouds cause silver linings, another sight to see! My neighb, Vargas a young professor at our local college and I stepped out, he had all the goods, eclipse paraphernalia. I thought of 'Anais' for the flower girl calendar. A huge thanks for stopping by, but I think its in Canada now, I'm continuing my documenting!Cheers :)

Anne-Lise, wow, I'm watching the entire day on MSNBC while documenting. We stepped outside and what we see in California is 50% super bright! What they see along the path is total darkness, looks like night! Very spiritual for everyone. Thanks for the kind comment, glad you enjoyed!

Ink, I'm here, I step out with the neigh's every once in a while, to look through the eclipse glasses only 50% here, but we see it! Celebrating, what makes it spiritual, Empress it brings us all together, a reverential aurora! I make up words a lot, so beware, LOL! Souffle came to mind because it is an acrostic but also a monorhyne hence souffle. Watch it on the news it's incredible! Hugs & light to You ~Anaya
