Destination

It starts in effortless lines
Tracing a path through loveless routines,
Shallow graces and uncertain pursuits
And we reach proven destinations…
As simple as the lines
And visibly less straight,
But you do not know
every love has a face
Every spark a shade
Of feathery touches…
And restive words,
And one persists,
Urging thoughts through concealed reaches
Finding unspoken themes,
And the emptiness subsides…
Smiles light up the stars,
They all have answers and a single name
But you do not know
the lines merge into a familiar picture
Follow each weave
and gaze into a mirror
Add sounds to each line
and relive a dream

But you do not know
there is a unique melting point
A fixed stare lights it up into a likeness
and a blinding purpose…

And then you see me
