Desires

she wanted to cry but she couldn't
she wanted to feel but she wouldn't
she wanted something to fill her heart now empty
and full of despair
she wanted love and hope things that made her happy yet so sad
she wanted to be devoured by life in all its flowers and butterfly wings
she wanted so much, she wanted to much till having became a must and
she broke the morals and values that shaped and broke the code of honor
that made her. Till she only saw a stranger when she looked at herself anymore

Powerful write, In life we make mistakes, the only positive thing we can do is to learn from them. It's never to late to change.. You just have to love yourself enough, trust in God and look to him to give you the strength you need..Better days are ahead if you just believe it and receive it..I hope you find all the peace you seek and God Bless you in your life and in your writing, Congratulations on having your lovely poetry being featured this week..

Tfarrah - This poem I can relate to better than I bet even you could know - See I'm an ex-dope cook and a ex-con - I wasted most of my life doing the wrong things - It's never to late to turn it all around - Congrats on being Featured - God Bless, MJ

This poem makes you think about what you really should desire in this life. It also tells of how desires and wants can take over your entire being and completely consume you. This is a very thought provoking and true poem to life. Awesome.

Making wrong choices is part of growing as an individual. Those who never have made them, also never grew. I liked this write. It had an honesty to it./ Congratulations on having "Desires" featured. Vince

Very deep, I felt sad for her. Life can change us & shape us in ways we don't even realize, til it's already happened; you conveyed these emotions well. The good thing though is that even in the bad, we learn, we grow, the bad things do eventually pass, I can testify to that in my own life. One day we look in that soul mirror & realize we actually like who we see again; not because of things we've done but regardless of them, that God took the pieces & put us together better than before. :) Amy
