Sand, sand, everywhere in my ears and in my hair As I breathe this desert air I’m growling like a grizzly bear I need to slump into a chair And get myself some nursing care I even tried a little prayer Which had a slight poetic air I looked up but no Lord was there Divine assistance proving rare Just the Sun - a blinding glare I’m burning for my skin is fair And what is worse - I’m also bare Because I acted on a dare So may I ask you not to stare Or you may get an awful scare

So funny as always my talented, amusing friend. Never tire of reading your poetry that’s for sure. You have such a talented gift of humour like Deb says. Visiting your page is always one of the most enjoyable and rewarding. I’m now thinking that you should be on mainstream tv! You are more clever, entertaining and funny than a lot of so called comedians.

Thanks so much for such a glowing comment. Blimey, I almost grew an ego! Seriously… I’m well flattered and grateful. Hmmm… am I only funnier than the ‘so called’ comedians? Ha ha… I get your gist and I thank you again ;-)

Lol, sounds like you were on a stag night. I remember once I fell asleep on a beach In Weymouth, could hardly walk back to the hotel. My legs were purple, never again, in the hot sun I'm now a covered from head to toe man.

You could always use Marmite as sun screen… that's gotta be factor 5000 if you ask me.
