Depression Is

In the garden of depression where crowds pass through like endless fog
the light must shine through just enough
for it is here the most beautiful art, in any form, begins to sprout

Maurice Rigoler Date: 1/4/2017 12:26:00 AM I'm not sure I agree that "the most beautiful art...begins to sprout" when depression hits an artist. I've never experienced depression to the degree. I do get moody at times with temporary loss of ambition, that's all. So I stop writing and do something else until I'm back in my writing mood. Great works of art begin in every example of the human condition. What makes art born in depression especially beautiful to me is that it comes from a vulnerable and very raw place.
