I purposely closed mine
You still held me

You reached down to pull me out
I intentially went lower
You still had me

You extended Your hands
 I pulled back
You still comforted me

You called my name
I chose not to hear
You still spoke to me

You showed me the way
I closed my eyes
You still reserved me

You chose me
I turned away
You waited

Your words express a sad situation, and I hope for a happy ending. Beautifully written and poignant piece.
