New song... Demon love

DEMON LOVE
BY MICHELLE MORRIS

You were the guy I
Had always loved;
No matter the blood or pain -
I always deluded myself
With your
"I'm sorry" and
"I'll never hit you again".

It seemed that I
Have paid the price
For my love;
In a life of too much
Broken everything...

Forgave you time
And time again,
Because of vows
And a stupid ring.

Chorus
So what happens now?
Do I survive without you?
Or do I stay with the
Demon I know well?
Because of my fear;
The fear of being alone...
What happens now,
My demon love?
What happens now? (end chorus)

I look back to when
It started out so
Surprisingly -
The 1st time you hit me;
Your anger and mad jealousy.

You blamed me then,
As you still do...
My demon love,
What happened to you?

You got so much
Bolder over time -
Knowing my shame
Would keep me
Silent.

Chorus

You got smarter over time -
Hiding those hits well,
So bruises weren't shown.

And I just faded away,
So far from the confident
Girl I once knew...
And I didn't want to stay,
But I was afraid to leave too...

Chorus

What happens now?
Demon love, oh
My demon love...
They tell me
I could die
If I stay with you,
My demon love.
Should I die to stay with you?
