Deliver Us

What choice have we, who seek truth?

             Our bellies never full of blood
shed by those who seek their righteous path.
Kings and conquerors rally our fears, spewing

slogans of falsehood our hearts know will
never bring
peace.

What choice have we, who seek truth?

              Our bellies never full of promised
gold, arms that wish to link in brotherhood;
forever bound by our
side.

Forced are we, the peacemakers, to enshrine
       the slavemakers of sorrow our hearts know;

will never bring peace.

I say to you, my fellow humans-

"follow your hearts"

and never rest, 'till peace is found.

Hi Catherine! so nice to see you stop by! Yes, sadly, and have expressed numerous times such hope in the face of madness...only through strength can victory be won!
