Deliver Me


Vs 1.
Oh Lord I'm drowning in hopelessness 
I've fallen so far into this pit of despair 
You tried to lead me to safe pastures, I confess,
But blindly I turned away from there
Oh God I know the right ways you've shown
I've tried to be obedient to thee
But sin and self I've fed and grown
Till the spirit within me is weak

Free me Father, Creator, Lord of all
The most high God, my King
Break these bindings that I've put on
To the breaking of chains melody I'll sing
No more will I allow the Enemy
To keep me down, and to humble me
For only to you Lord God will i bow 
Please, Free me, deliver me now!

Oh my God, when i thought all hope was lost
And darkness the only sight I'd seen
A light shone bright upon the cross
Where Jesus suffered and died for me
Heavenly Father I ask you on my knees
Send your Holy Spirit in love and power
In this Spirit, with these gifts, baptize me
Like rain revives a wilting flower
