Dejection

"If we allow a deranged mind to control the course of human destiny,

then we become executioners in the annihilation of human dignity"

                                             -by author-

                                                 Dejection

                 Collective yearning inconsolably questing tranquility

                 races toward stratosphere

Blinding flashes sculpted shadows of lifeless entities

                 on melted walls everywhere

Mind focused on the obscure contours of ominous rain clouds

                 solemnly disengages

Upon nameless faces dire consequences unexpectedly surface

                 on the distinct edges

Eyes gazing overhead apprehensively acceding to portended

                 unendurable emotions

Fears and the tears of dejection watched the sun dissolve

                 beyond darkened horizons

War is Hell on Earth! Can we not learn from past inhumanities? God help us! Timely poem full of deep feeling and emotions. Well-written, Anselmo. Smiles ~ Blessings, Bill

Thanks for your expressive comment, Bill. I appreciate you! It's so difficult to comprehend the juxtaposition of good and evil, light and darkness that live inside the human psyche. Let's hope Love prevails...ab

War brings untold misery ! It leads to fears and tears and the whole world passes through severe dejection and the tranquility of life gets totally disrupted ! Profound and poignant as ever, Anselmo !

Yes Valsa, I see gloom in the tear-filled faces of the Ukrainian people: especially the elderly, mothers and their children, fathers, young men and women so disillusioned not knowing if there is a future that they can look forward to seeing anymore. My wish is for this war to end soon so they can rebuild their lives. Thanks so much for sharing your sincere thoughts...ab

Yes G.W. We need to maintain positive, forward motion, otherwise the price is desolation...ab

1,000% agreed, Anselmo. No room for us to sit around feeling sorry for ourselves. I'm all for 'rejection of dejection.' ~ Gershon
