Dein Schatten/ Your Shadow/ Tu Sombra

Dein Schatten geht stets mit dir mit, und folgt dir stets auf Schritt und Tritt ----------------------------------------------- You cannot stay Don't hold your way Even if world around you breaks Life will go on No matter what it takes Abandoned streets And up and down Your shadow follows you, will stay When worlds fall down on you And sounds will fade away Right ahead Will lead your step No doubt makes you feel low. Your shadow always follows you, Wherever you might go ------------------------------------------------ Que no resides Y no te quedas de pie Aunque el mundo se rompe alrededor de ti Siempre se pondrán a la Y que nunca lo olvides Las calles vacías arriba y abajo Tu sombra ya te sigue Baja el mundo sobre ti Se pierde tono por tono En línea recta Tu camino te lleva No hay duda que te roe Tu sombra se queda siempre contigo Y siempre te sigue a cada paso

for some reason, I am reminded of Peter Pan!! Didn't he lose his shadow in the first place? I really enjoyed this--glad to know that we never truly are alone, since we'll always have our shadows! That's "anino" in Tagalog btw---and just sent you my email ;) --off to sleep after this--maybe next time I'll send you that pic of the mariposa we saw--this is actually what we call the BIG moths ;) and hmm butterfly would be paru-paro, moth is gamu-gamo--those repeating words again ;) --nikko :)

This is really quite deep, Gert. We cannot lose our shadows, even if we want to rid ourselves of the past. Sounds beautiful in Spanish and German, too. Thanks again for always providing these translations. I really look forward to them. Love you, Carolyn

It sure does, I really love the three different languages-the Spanish is beautiful as is the English, but I can't read the German!~Tirzah

I like this, Gert. Me and my Shadow!!! Chex mix is chex cereal (rice, wheat, and corn squares) tossed with seasonings and melted butter, and roasted in one's oven with mixed nuts. A salty delight that many americans fix around Xmas time. Do they not have cearl like Chex where you are? LUv, Andea
