I'm
Not square
Nope, not round
I have three sides
I can't roll or even hop
I'm limited in what I can do
Bet you can't guess my shape, pop  
Don't shoot into space because I might drop

Jeff, I am southern as well. We do eat many fried foods here. I don't know why, but that has been the tradition. My mother fried T-bone steak like it was a pork chop. Thanks for the nice comment. Sara
