Deficiency Syndrome
I look into the mirror in a dissociation
as my reflection no longer looked at me.
My companion lost in abyss of darkness
my dearest wife, I no longer find beside me.
Engulfed in emptiness of a gasp of echo
my abode of walls reverberates in silence.
A house painted in creamy white and pink
with beautiful carpets, curtains and closets.
Our dreams spread beyond horizon of hope,
as we breathed life and made it our home.
Soft arms of an amazing angel,
she turned our world to a sensual garden.
A place where flowers learned to dance.
A place where birds learned to whistle.
A place where butterflies learned to flutter.
The Mom of the house...
she cooked and washed, cleaned and dried
everything perfect where they should reside.
Domestic rules in her strict constitution,
The lioness was fierce, an epitome of dedication.
Now she has left her den, never to return...
her helpless house looks into the mirror
it no longer finds that exhilarating home.
Quietly we endure the deficiency syndrome.
