Deeper Than Any Blade

A poem is like a candle that brings human feelings to light: moving like a stubbled shadow across the face of tomorrow. And its rhythm should be inviting: soliciting raw emotions from within the depths of your soul; where both Angels and Demons dwell. Its language should be conversant: conveying the poet's message in a relatable fashion; emotional and personal. And it should be free of the lies that ignorance perpetuates: exposing feelings, wizened words oft cut deeper than any blade.

Emile, Congratulations on your nice win. Thank you for all the time you took supporting and entering my contest this past year 2015:-) I'm taking, this time, to explain how I really enjoyed every entry. I truly wanted to place every poem, but two with high placements. However, it is a contest and with all the bickering going on about the way we judge our contest. I did not place everyone the way I wanted to in this contest. I do APOLOGIZE. Please don't be upset if you are sharing a placement or did not make the top 10. I feel every poem, should have been placed high. Stop by my latest Blog "Favorite Type of Poem" when you'd like or have time. Celebrate by sharing with us, Your Favorite type of poem. Have A Blessed Year. Love SKAT
