Deeper

Underneath a fraudulent moon I take a breath and dive Breaking the plane of the silver water Going deeper The ripples fade above me As I glide beneath the surface Floating and then sinking In the silence of my own company Coming up for air The water falls like diamond tears Who knows what the tide will bring Perhaps something I could never hide Going deeper Past moonfoam and silver
