Deception

So easily forgotten
Cast aside without a second glance
Thought or memory in their mind

Unjust sorrow slowly envelopes me
Covering me in a dark cloud of deception
Desperately trying to conceal me from the sorrow

Alone I try to grasp
The degradation of their actions
Falling in upon myself

My soul burns with the pain
The taunting of their lies
Their unjustness cast upon me

Tears of regret and humiliation
Flow freely down my face
For trusting them once more

I cannot hide
Or find shelter from the pain
To justify a happy life

I find the shame and humiliation
Controlling my life
By people made of deception
