Deception

Could be so real
Could be so true
too good to be a lie
until unfolded you never know

Cant always see it coming
Less often expected
Exposes itself in those least expected
to ourselves have we been true?

It lurks in every conner of the human mind, body and soul
waiting for the right time and the right target
deception, so patient, ever patient for time

It could be hoped to be a dream but it's real in every sense
rips apart a loving heart
shatters dreams, lingers hope, distroys friendship, kills trust, births suspicion
and hate
What a monster to be dreaded
Oh, deception.

Deception is certainly on the prowl in today's society. It's really a monster to dread. I like the way you bring this subject to the forefront. There is always a way to deal with this monster. Keep holding on to God's unchanging hands and moving forward in faith. Great job! ~Joseph

Another cracking write. Nobody is every really honest. Even the nicest people in life have something to hide and this poem sums that up
