December Thoughts

December Thoughts

As I think of the gift giving, the parties, the celebrations, I remember that not all lives are the same. For many this is a month of sorrow, for others a month of loneliness. Who decides that it is a month to celebrate? The glory of God has told us to celebrate the birth of Christ, however is Christ’s birth about trees and parties or thankfulness for life? I find the season to be beautiful for the lights and the sensational decorations that cover our world. I also find this season a time of sorrow and sadness, not just for my loss but for those who are alone, for those who have no one at all, or for those who have given up all hope.

Joy is in my heart
Because I know I have love
For the world around.
