December Days DD
After a long hot and dry Summer,
I welcome the cool crisp autumn days.
The trees explode with color,
pretty red, orange and yellow are everywhere.
Then December awakens with all her beauty,
days start off cold then warm up with the sun.
Nights by the fireplace with the flames flickering brightly,
as the wood crackles to a favorite song.
December is known for Christmas,
pretty lights with the smell of pine in the air.
Snow softly coming down,
as if in a huge snow globe.
Oh December the last month of this old year,
waiting to be replaced with January.
