Death's An Angel
Death's the harbinger of eternal sleep,
where souls slumber in everlasting peace.
And yet, family and friends tend to weep
when a loved one's earthly connections cease.
And while memories cause tears to increase,
a fractured heart honors the soul's release.
Death is beautiful, not an ugly thing—
for you'll not feel thirst or hunger again.
And you will become one with everything,
instantly freed from all your fears and pain.
There'll be no anxieties to constrain,
for a soul without limits has free rein.
Your soul will ascend from its mortal guise
into a spiritual dimension,
for the soul lives on, though the body dies.
That we're souls is a point of contention;
and yet, belief overcomes dissension,
while Death's our only means of ascension.
Death's an Angel, assigned to turn life off
and help souls ascend—let the doubters scoff.
