Death Wish

Death wish By Michelle Morris 29/06/2020 I'm falling; falling down... My feet no longer touch the ground... I'm not anchored to anything anymore... Free-falling towards heaven's door... I'm waiting; waiting still... For an angel to tell me God's will... I'm so lost in the in between... Wishing heaven was no longer a dream... I'm wishing; wishing now... To be in heaven, my soul sound... I'm no longer interested in earthly ways... Too much sorrow overshadowed my days... I'm praying; praying still... For God to take me as His will... I'm yearning for the peace... That only sweet death can release... © Michelle Morris, 2020

If you are falling, you must change course immediately because Heaven is the opposite direction! Life is like an Easter Egg hunt, i.e. you get what you hunt for, not what you wish for, nor sit and pout for! Aloha! Rico

Thanks for your feedback. I write on perspectives of the world around me, not just my personal experience. This poem reflects how many people are feeling during this pandemic. And I am sure you can empathise with their distress. Take care.
