Death Only Made Our Connection Stronger
My guardian seraph way up high in heaven’s sky,
you have beautiful ivory wings, who taught you to fly?
I considered you my angel while you were alive and well,
I guess through death angels never whisper goodbye.
Now on a golden mount next to the Lord you dwell.
You were my big sister and raised me from birth,
guiding me in life and edifying my self-worth.
It’s like you knew you’d always watch over me,
even after God decided for you to leave this earth.
Then again, angels were always born to fly free.
You are my messenger above showing me adoration,
leaving signs and symbols of love and veneration.
God entrusted you to take care of me down here,
and yet from up there you still bestow alleviation.
Even though you are miles away I still feel you near.
You offer assertive and genuine protection
in ways that enhance our perpetual connection.
Defending me until my ultimate dying day,
and showering me in cascades of pure affection.
You’ve given me peace in times of disarray.
My sweet guardian seraph who loves me so,
sometimes I wonder, “why did you have to go?”
But now I know that God had a sweet plan for you,
to carry on your angelhood and help me grow,
proceeding to do all the perfect miracles angels do.
So when you hear me calling out to you in peace,
just remember how you made my pain cease.
Thank you for being my angel full of resilience,
and making sure my heart is always at ease.
For you are strong in faith full of radiant brilliance.
