Notes About The Poem

Dedicated to Cherl Dunn

Angels weep

Death of Cheri

Dances with us all
			last tango
Louisiana hospitality
		alligators eating dreams
Lost a poet
			the boat upstream
Heart beat with so much love
tear drops fall on poets stylo
I am so lost
			in mist filled dreams
She called me Cheri
on my knees I must scream
Southern grace so rare to find
		charming
her poetry from the wishing well
			  mixed with purple rain
She is missing.... gone
		the rest of us
Still mortals insane

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I cry... scream..... pull out hair

Cheri tell me............. tell me….. god tell me

Speak, say I had some flair................

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

leave not the sound of dead air…………

She was such a lovely sight to see on the Soup ... I regret having not been very familiar with her ... she obviously moved a lot of people deeply, as your poetic tribute is evidence. Gripping, Art.

A fitting tribute to Cherl, a talented poetess and a wonderful friend. I was attracted to her style of writing and the ease with which she wrote. She had plans, but the Lord had his own. // paul

wow, what an amazing tribute this is for Cherl. I never knew you were so close to her. I know the sorrow of losing someone that you have a very close kinship with through poetry. I have lost a few of them now. I hope she can look down and see this special tribute you wrote for her. WELL DONE. The ending is fantastic.
