Death of Bridge
Thank you for your care
carrying people across
heavy trucks on my back
water licking my bottom
no repairs, no care, no fare
I carry your burdens daily
pedestrians with dirty feet
but you just smile and giggle
I like your loving curse
when I die, I know for certain
you’ll dance and celebrate
death of a complaining bridge
then build another to curse
