"Grief is the price we pay for love."
Queen Elizabeth II
In my life I have seen too much of death,
been a prisoner to endless dark grief;
though I have also known sweet love.
And to my broken heart I hold that love,
nothing can break that bond not even death;
often, there are weep, weeping tears of grief.
I am afraid to let go of my grief,
if I let go . . . I may forget the love.
Do the dead adore me in death ?
Death and grief working as one to steal love.
