This poem is the outcome of a very frustrating day having taken my child for testing (years ago). The technicians were virtually robots, it was a frightening and surreal experience not only for my child, but myself.
Pale pasty forms,
Soft bodies draped,
Covered in the sameness,
Dead eyes,
Smiles with no heart,
Step-step-step,
Echoing on corridor floors.
Behind computer terminals,
Pressing keys,
Alone,
Room after room after room.
