Njeri Hunjeri Poet Free verse

Dear Writer

Just wanted to let you know that I woke up early today 
I didn't wait for the rooster to wake me up
      Like I normally do
I've got my materials, my words keep flowing
Right now as I write, I have two poems
Going back to back in my head
And I have like ten new titles to create poems with

I did my homework just as you asked
I read many books, to increase my writing mascularity
I now know many vocabularies, you would be proud of me
My grammatical progress, amazes me
If I had to rate myself on a scale of 0-10, I'd say an 8, and eight is my favorite number
I look at me, and am like, did I do that? 

Just wanted to inform you of my maturity 
      In the literary world
The art, creativity and skill dance in a polished style
No more are the brakes on, as I soar higher and higher
Just thought, maybe, you'd love to hear that
