Dear Sitruc

It doesn't surprise me that you have reached the age of 95.
In addition, you are in great shape, and you look fantastic.
I remember that your prayer was that you would not only
Grow to be very old, but that you would be a healthy aged one.
From where I sit, The Lord has granted far more than you asked for.

One look at you and your dear wife still standing by your side;
One look at the beautiful house you built  primarily for your wife;
Why, one breath of the fresh rural air that you inhale each day;
And those cricket sounds late at night would take my breath away.

Indeed, such blessings indicate that you have been faithful over
a few things. As a result, your Lord and mine has rewarded you with just a taste of eternal things to come. Knowing of your humble beginnings, I gladly rejoice with you .

I want you to know that I expected that your books would be successful. I have been reading your third book over the past couple of weeks, and I must say, "Lest We Forget" is all that it was marketed to be. It is reaching deep inside the hearts of thousands.

My heart was really touched when I realized that your son, who's also an author, started to assist you more that 20 years ago. He strived to make certain your dream of publishing your book would be fulfilled. Even more than that, was the fact that your life has been a lot about 'legacy'. You have always been one who delegates, making sure there would always be others to carry on what you have started.

I remember the story you shared with me about the lady at church who complimented you on one of your poems. You thanked her, but in addition, you indicated to her how grateful you were to the Lord for allowing you to write before your demise. You were so pleased that what had long
been inside of you would not be taken to the grave with you. Well Sitruc, when ever The Lord chooses to call you home, it is clear that thousands have and will continue to be touched and inspired by the gift God gave you.

Continued blessings, my friend. "...For their works do follow them". Revelation 14:13
