Dear Santa, I want to ask you for something VERY special this year - I know it's going to be hard for you, so please don't feel bad if you can't ... you have SO much to do, and I'll understand if you're too busy, but I'd like to have my Christmas a little EARLY this year ... please? You see, I have cancer, and the doctors told Mommy and Daddy that I won't be here for Christmas, so could you come a little early this year, and bring them something nice? I don't need anything, but I want my folks and little sister to have a happy Christmas ... please? I promise I'll leave your favorite cookies and milk. OK, Santa? I've been good this year! Thanks so much, Line ... this was a true story just a few weeks ago here in Maine, (though it was a little), and got international attention ... sad, but heart-warming as well. Little affects me as profoundly as terminally ill children. Blessings, friend! :-) <3

Such a beautiful tribute! It's amazing the strength and courage they exhibit and most beautiful of smiles they flash through such pain and sorrow! Congrats on your win, Gregory

You are so right, Melissa! They are very often much stronger, wiser, more resilient, and more courageous, than adults ... we could learn so much from children if we listened more closely, and didn't dismiss them so often. Thank you so much for the kind words, my friend! :-) <3

Yes, that was him, Jan - it made national and international news stories ... very touching. Kids with terminal diseases ... nothing touches my heart more, or makes me question the existence of God more ... a double-edged sword for me. Blessings and thanks, my friend! :-) <3

This was something that took place in the town I live in, and the child passed last week, though he had a wonderful Christmas and got to meet his hero, along with Santa and Mrs Claus, and he raised a great deal of money with his story - for OTHER children. He was diagnosed with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma when he was five, and lived to be NINE, which is amazing, but they knew he was not going to make it to Christmas this year. I have used a girl and a different name, but there is a web site for his foundation and it is still pumping benefits to others. Quite an inspiration, this boy, and his story.
