Dear Mr Corona

Dear Mr Corona

Allow me remind you how we were
Before you visited us here
I really have to let you know this!

We were happy and never this distressed
Our children sang because we were highly blest
Our hopes were devoid of your presence.

We were happy and never this defiled
Our parents’ hustles, so mild
We would sleep with smiles assured of a sweet morning.

You came upon us like Iscariot
Ready to eat us up like carrot
Sharing in our handshakes and kisses

Now see what you have caused
We run to Lord of all joy
Who has promised us all fears to destroy

Oh! See what you have caused
We visit our Lord of all faith
In holy oil, our bodies He will bathe

Just see what you started
We now run to our Lord of all grace
In whose arms, the safest embrace

You got wrong by coming to our nation
Yes, you will run in desolation
We don’t joke here

Our world shall respond with love
For our help comes from above
Leave as soon as you can

You should have thought this through
O! How our hearts and might renew
Behold, we’ll leave you no mercy
