When I remember – it is not I who kindles the gentleness, the humble light When I remember – it is not my own heart who ignites the kindness, the stirring of amazing when I remember – it is not me who reflects God’s wonderful, on the song on the faith, on the serenity and praise…. When I remember – it is not I who sings of forgiveness, grace and peace when I remember – it is the love of my God who trembles within me, when I pour out my heart, when I know what it is to love beyond my own understanding, my own selfish dreams When I remember – it is love that lives because of Him, my heart’s greatest friend When I remember – it is not I who lives to give a part of the gift that He gave when He saved me – the gift that He brought to life, when He restored my spirit’s light the gift that is His sacrifice, His life brought to earth to silence the greed, brought to show the world that love can overcome whatever is… Love can overcome the fears and the tears, the worries and the pain the struggles with shame the trouble when I blame Love can overcome the depression and despair the winds of deadly doubt the seas who drip with black the distance between…. Hope and desolation Joy and anguish Grace and gruff Gladness and sadness Glorious and reprehensible Love can overcome, Leaving the heart with the SON Who knows – His love has won His love is brighter than the sun His love is the peace that comes When a heart gives up its pride And learns to let love be the guide,… Dear Jesus, I’m so thankful You’re mine Dear Jesus, I’m so thankful You’re alive Dear Jesus, - I love YOU – You’re my life!
