Dear Eileen
Dear God
Why did you give the Raven wings?
He has hunted me all my life
Why do you let the bee’s sting?
My honey is always sweet yet I feel the sting
Why do you let the oceans flood?
Or the mountains topple the village?
Why dear god you give people defective hearts?
Do you long to see the tears?
Is life full of woe your funny game?
I saw a man the other day, with no heart at all
Al-Baghdadi the butcher, making rivers flow red
Has he not loved even once a pretty woman?
So that love would flow in his silly head?
Dear Man
I gave you flowers so that you may smell the beauty
I gave you freedom to do as you wish
I gave the raven wings so that nature would thrive
I gave the bees all they have so that you may taste the sweetness of life
I gave you a heart
I gave you breath
I suffer from above that with all the tools I have bestowed upon you
You have not built a house of the lord
Of heart, of soul, of peace, of serenity
It is I who prays daily
You, you stop praying, STOP
Instead
Fulfill my prayers and the heavens shall sing and dance
Angels in white shall celebrate
Love shall flourish
For ever more
Amen
