Dear Africa

Dear Africa I know it has been a while I have forgotten what it looks like to see you smile I am sorry I have not written it is kind of hard you see Being one of your children and asking, have you forgotton me? I remember waking up in the mornings it was cold and dreary But then I remembered it was you so I need not be weary I have moved on now and so must you You say you don't remember me? I know you do Do you remember the time when we would kiss the sun? I'd chase you in cirlces until you were spun Yet you still dont remember me? is this what you say? You feel I have abandoned you and left you astray? Well let me ak you this, what if it were the other way? I always wish that I could see you again But would you go back and see the begining of the end? Would you look me in the eye and say its still the same? If you do you are lying, I know.....it is a shame I owe you my soul for all the memories of you please say you remember me, so I can be true I want to know you knew that I did exist I want to know before my giving hand becomes a fist Its hard to me I never said goodbye Its hard to me but you know I do try I never did tell you but I think now it is due If you choose to forget me, remember "I love you"
