Deaf

DEAF


I experience quietness all around
I can't hear any whispers, not even a sound
My eyes open, my feet on the ground
The sadness deepens, you can't be found
Tears fall without realizing I hold a frown

I smell the winter, I feel the ice
Somewhere deep in the forest, 
Everything is silent, only to my eyes
I can feel the sorrow and darkness, 
Questions arise, 
Suddenly I'm feeling frightened
AM I SAFE HERE?
Or, did I fall into desperate fear?
I'm so cold, I feel the snow, freezing my bones
I curl on the ground, without a sound,
All alone, No one hears the SIGN
Without a "sigh", the LANGUAGE numbs my thumbs?

Cherl Dunn February 14, 2015 at 6:51 PM Skat, I have not read this one but I wish I had, it was a powerful read, at my job I deal with a lady who comes in once a month, she was born, deaf and mute, so she remindes me of this write of yours, she is one o the lost but I have made a friend with her, she has a translator who calls and I talk through him. I've found her I tell her and I won't let go, she is a good friend now, so you have touched me with this write, and touched my heart thank you, cheri
