Deadly Aim

(Another look at Funnel Spiders) They spin and spin in dark of night funnel and tunnel beneath my sight then slide inside to hide from view; yet, like a thug with talons, tug an innocent bug, snag him snug, then proceed to chew him through.

I shy away from spiders. I respect their space, but love watching from afar, how diligently they build their home. Enjoyed reading about this particular type. Have a great day Cona! :) xxxxx d.

Yes, I shy away from spiders, too. But these little guys are working at night while we are sleeping. Three things I like about them; they live outside, they catch bugs, and their little bug-traps sparkle in the morning dew and sunlight. Thanks for the visit, Dorian.

Thank you, Ilene. The first time I saw all those little white circles on the lawn, I didn't know what they were. They were sparkling in the sunshine like little snowy blossoms.

Thank you, Robert for the visit, and for the comment. They appear in Autumn, like white gossamer blossoms on the lawn. I originally called them a bouquet on the grass.
