Dead Skunk Season

again a dead skunk on the road nearby
        I can smell it's musk drifting on the breeze
but darn . . .  I feel sorry for it, I really do
no soul deserves to die that way
       oh, I recall the time
one chased me down a forest path
it's tail was high and it was mad, real mad
                 seems I got too close to it's home
I really thought I was going to have plunge
            into the stream ... but it got bored I guess

Michael Tor October 8, 2024 at 8:08 AM Constance I am so glad you valued these beautiful animal. They are so intimidating to people because of their ability to spray that fowl odor. He doesn't want to, but that is his only defense. Realize this when he does that he to has to smell his own terrible odor. I am sure he does not like being so stinky.
