Dead Men's Words

Dead Men's Words

What is it about dead men's words
That has people turning into turds
Reading, quoting these, gives them a right
Others to judge and them to slight

I see and hear those dead words
Gathering people together in herds
In their mouths these dead words are bile
The people who utter them, them defile

Without questioning, their minds hooded
Down the garden path swiftly footed
Never seeing or hearing truth unveiled
Dead men's words their minds have jailed

Each on his soap box preaching opinion
Hoping over another to have dominion
Only on the surface they preach, believe
Yet more and more they will deceive

Dead men's words created false creed
For control, dissension and greed
The swift fooled, down the rabbit hole
Thinking that this is to save their soul

Dead men's words layered in mystery
Inviting you to seek the true history
A process to transcend and become
God we're created the total sum
