Dead and Dreaming
out of mind, out of sight,
dance eternally in the night.
ever catching, ever dying,
ever breathing, ever crying.
stop the world, cease to breathe,
burn the cancer and disease.
searching for unholy light
in the sanctity of night.
dead, searching, sleeping, dreaming
all eclipsed, a sight unseeming,
bathed within his holy light,
a mockery, and endless blight.
lying peacefully in your slumber,
coldly, swiftly, going under
till the day we reach the deep
awakening from eternal sleep
