Daystar

Daystar – 7-29-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daystar
Dawn births David’s promise in my heart where your pure love abides
Aroma of Emmanuel, Morning's Star, God with me, The Word
Yahweh’s welcome, eternal teddy bear with arms opened wide
Sweet Lamb of God, miracles of sacrifice your watchword
Tender shepherd you gather this headstrong lamb with parables of life
Alpha and Omega, you rebuke all my midnights,
Redeemer of my stubborn heart – you sow in me Christ’s light
"Tender shepherd you gather this headstrong lamb..." such a relatable line. Alpha and Omega, in fact does rebuke the midnights. There is a lot packed into this poem of yours, and with that, congratulations on your win in my contest.
Greetings Daniel! What a beautiful response to this poem. I am deeply touched. There can be no great compliment, my friend, than to know these simple words were a source of prayer. So grateful. This theme challenged me to, once again, explore all of the names attributed to our Lord. There was definite joy in that journey and even greater joy to share our poems in fellowship! Thank you, dear friend. Sending you blessings of summer joy!
