Days without Words

Time keeps crawling
Time thaws fleeting days
Days with daisy hope
Days where you fall
Fall to rise again
Fall in perfumed dreams
Dreams forgotten
Dreams lost in silence
Silence that sings
Silence with secrets
Secrets unquestionable
Secrets unfathomable
Unfathomable reality
Unfathomable clarity
Clarity with no remorse
Clarity of seven stars
Stars of lavender love
Stars of silver hymns
Hymns of forsaken flowers
Hymns whispered in rhymes
Rhymes left unwritten
Rhymes with no rhythm
Rhythm of bleeding ink
Rhythm of whistling waves
Waves of healing
Waves of cleansing
Cleansing yesterday’s pain
Cleansing masks of shame
Shame rinsed in mauve rain
Shame with shimmering stains
Stains of rosy red
Stains from emerald emotions
Emotions that made me hush
Emotions from tokens of love
Love painted in prose
Love within my heart
Heart ribboned with sunsets
Heart reflecting clementine sky
Sky sequined in sapphires
Sky quilted in rubies
Rubies within summer blues
Rubies mirror twilight hues
Hues of moonlit souvenirs
Hues of untangled strings
Strings of faith
Strings of words
Words mean nothing
Words mean everything
Everything…
Nothing…

Your Blitz bounces between opposites and things similar. So very clever. Hymn - Rhyme, cleansing - shame, love - heart, ( I could go on) This is extremely well constructed and reads beautifully. I am learning, and who better to learn from than the Empress herself ? So well done. Best wishes from Wen

Gosh, what an impeccable blitz this is, my dear Ink! You've really nailed the main dimension of flow and depth, whilst conveying emotions so brilliantly, enveloped in beautiful tokens of imagery..Every line adds to the richness of poetic experience and it reads like a lyrical delight.."Time thaws fleeting days","Dreams lost in silence" Ahh, so deep! Also "Rhythm of bleeding ink" Wow, love that unique touch! "Stains of rosy red", "Shame rinsed in mauve rain" Oh my, the use of colours is so clever

"Heart ribboned with sunsets" That line is so enchanting! It should be a prompt in my opinion, so good! And it's gonna stay in my mind for a while.. "Sky quilted in rubies" And that ending with words mean everything and nothing, ahh, so deep! Loved reading this.. You've really nailed it! Best wishes for the contest :)

It's funny to me that there is so much description and happenings in a day. And then it's described and gone. You really do remarkable things with words and they make me feel a certain way (good) that will last a while. Thanks.

A dynamic poem, my friend--thoughts progressively weaving fervor of emotions adorned in metaphors. Power of your vocabulary resonates throughout:--Rhymes with no rhythm Rhythm of bleeding ink---Shame rinsed in mauve rain Shame with shimmering stains--Words mean nothing Words mean everything--and so much more!

Dear Ink Empress, I just finished reading your poem and felt compelled to express how deeply it touched me. You’re a palate of emotions, each line a stroke of genius that added depth and color to the canvas of my mind. (I know I am being too poetic). Your verses on love and heart were beautifully expressed with sincerity, which is both rare and refreshing. My dear friend, your poetry is a gift that keeps giving, and I am grateful to be one of its recipients. The world needs more of your poetic brilliance. -Blessings, Daniel

'Would be great to see some Shasta Daisies in bloom once again. We all have dreams that we had hoped would come to pass but they went silent along the way. It is good to know that wherever you are God needed you there for some reason. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K

Very poetic launching from one to the other. It really shows much poetic force. A vantage point of relational pattern, like lilypad-touchstones. And I loved the Mastery at the end, that left it not flat or closed, but opened up, full throttle, thoughtfully recaptured graciousness of heart.
